Our products are guaranteed against manufacturing defects for the periods and conditions described below.
Any claim made under this warranty must be addressed in writing within fifteen (15) days following the discovery of the alleged defect or fault to Fenergic, for analysis and treatment.
Fenergic reserves the right to examine and retain any allegedly defective product, failing which, the present warranty will not apply.
During the first year following the delivery date of the products, the costs of parts and labor indicated in this warranty will be assumed by Fenergic.
For subsequent years, only the cost of replacement parts is covered by the warranty: all other costs (including, but not limited to, transportation, measuring and installation costs) are excluded from the present warranty and remain the responsibility of the customer.
The sealed units of the windows manufactured by Fenergic and identified by its logo on the inside face are guaranteed for the life of the product, against loosening, the formation of a film or a dust deposit on the inside faces of the panel caused by a lack of watertightness of the seal and constituting an appreciable obstruction to the vision, under normal conditions and provided that our products have been installed in accordance with the instructions of the company and according to the following coverage table :

In order to benefit from the warranty coverage, the replacement sealed unit must have been purchased from Fenergic and must be replaced by a technician duly approved by Fenergic. A proof of purchase must be submitted to Fenergic.
The tiles are guaranteed for a period of ten (10) years against major warping and severe non-uniform discoloration. The vibrations of the tiles inside the sealed units are considered normal.
Glued-on crossbars are covered for one (1) year from the date of delivery.
Sealed units not manufactured by Fenergic but sold or distributed by Fenergic, including door glass, are guaranteed by the manufacturer of the sealed unit for a period of ten (10) years, following the delivery date.
The manufacturer of the glass guarantees the units against loosening, the formation of a film or a dust deposit on the internal faces of the panel caused by a lack of watertightness of the seal and constituting an appreciable obstruction to the vision.
Glass breakage, including thermal breakage, is not covered by the Fenergic warranty.
During the first year only, the thermal breakage, characterized by a breakage of the interior glass slat during a period of extreme cold (less than -10°C) without the presence of an impact point, is covered by the Fenergic warranty.
The polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and aluminum profiles that make up the window systems are guaranteed by the profile manufacturer against all material and manufacturing defects for a period of twenty (20) years from the date of delivery.
The profile manufacturer warrants that its profiles will not rot, rust, crack, warp, blister, corrode or discolor in a non-uniform manner.
Excluded from warranty: Damage caused by excessive exposure to the elements such as but not limited to; Uneven exposure of surfaces to the sun, in cases of overheating by radiation caused by a fabric, curtain or film installed within the window frame and causing the temperature to rise above 40 C.
Profiles that are painted or coated with any product or used in windows or that are installed other than in a vertical plane are not covered by the warranty.
PVC profiles used in steel door frames are warranted for a period of one (1) year from the date of delivery.
If the PVC profile manufacturer determines that the warranty on its products is valid, the PVC manufacturer agrees at its option to either (i) refund the original purchase price for the defective extrusions or (ii) replace the defective extrusions that have been returned to the supplier with the same or a similar quality model.
The steel door manufacturer warrants its products, for residential applications, against defects in workmanship, material, major discoloration, chalking, and significant warping for a period of ten (10) years from the date of delivery.
The PVC strip that covers the contour of the doorglass is covered by the warranty for one (1) year.
Warping of less than 6.35 mm (¼ inch), sagging or any other permanent deformation not exceeding the criteria of CAN/CGSB-82.5-M88 are not considered defects.
Shed doors, non-standard size doors (cut or custom doors), are not covered by the warranty.
The paint manufacturer warrants the paint for a period of three (3) years from the date of delivery against peeling, cracking, blistering and peeling and significant (greater than 5 delta E) non-uniform discoloration.
During the first year of the warranty, Fenergic or one of its subcontractors will apply a new paint on site on the defective components only. During the subsequent years, Fenergic will, at its discretion, either (i) provide a quantity of paint of similar quality to the original one in sufficient quantity to repair the defective surfaces, or (ii) refund in part or in totality the original purchase cost of the defective items.
The Customer is aware that there may be normal color variations between the old paint and the new paint applied.
The window hardware is covered by a 5-year warranty against defects in workmanship and materials. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, abuse or misuse, insufficient or improper maintenance, discoloration of finishes, corrosion due to the use of chemical or natural agents, including those used for cleaning brick.
The steel door hardware manufacturer guarantees its products for a period of one (1) year against defects in workmanship and materials. Not covered by the warranty; Rust or corrosion, particularly, but not limited to, when the hinges have been exposed to high humidity environments (for example, a construction site exposed to the elements)
The door handle manufacturer warrants its products for a period of one (1) year against defects in workmanship and workmanship, as well as abnormal and non-uniform discoloration of finishes.
The patio door manufacturer guarantees that the hardware (rollers and sash locks) will remain in good working condition under normal use for a period of one (1) year from the date of delivery.
All wood components manufactured and/or sold by Fenergic are guaranteed against all manufacturing defects for a period of one (1) year from the date of delivery.
All other components not mentioned in the present warranty are covered for a period of one (1) year from the date of delivery.
All screens must be inspected within 48 hours of delivery. No claims for defects in the wick or paint will be accepted after this period. Screen adjustment is not included in the warranty.
Fenergic's warranty applies to the original buyer of the products. It is only transferable if the owner of the building has the original purchase contract.
This warranty covers only manufacturing defects in materials.
The warranty does not include defects or damage due to or resulting from improper installation of the windows, including improper insulation, or the effects or damage caused by accident, fire, flood, natural disaster, misuse, vandalism, improper or insufficient maintenance, damaging vapors, chemicals, home heating, exposure to excessive temperatures, discoloration due to normal aging, oxidation, extreme weather conditions, and all other circumstances and causes beyond the company's control.
The warranty does not cover direct or indirect damages caused to walls, structures, floors or any other installations near or adjacent to the place of installation of Fenergic products, including normal damages and deteriorations caused to the finish, paint, mouldings and other objects to be handled by Fenergic's employees or its authorized subcontractors in its obligations related to the present warranty.
Fenergic and its authorized subcontractors will not be held responsible for any loss of income or profits, related to any manufacturing defect, workmanship or in the execution of the present warranty.
Adjustment of the products is not covered by the warranty.
The removal, movement and reinstallation of blinds, curtains, decorations and furniture obstructing the work of the technicians remain at all times the responsibility of the client and Fenergic is released from all responsibilities regarding these items.
Are excluded from the warranty; all normal maintenance work as well as the replacement of parts subject to normal wear and tear, such as the weather strippers, door brushes, rollers, locks, operators, cranks, cremone bolts.
The warranty applies only when all products have been paid for in full and the customer is not in default or exercising any recourse against the company.
Additional fees will be charged if (i) The repair work requires a travel of more than 75 km from a Fenergic service center (ii) The work requires the handling of oversized objects requiring more than one technician (iii) The products are installed in difficult to access locations.
The cost of rental, purchase, delivery, installation and dismantling of scaffolding or any other apparatus necessary to complete the service are at the expense and responsibility of the client.
Permits and/or authorizations (and related costs) necessary for work covered by the Fenergic product warranty are the responsibility of the client.
Any attempt to repair or modify Fenergic products, including for example painting, stripping, replacement of thermos by personnel not authorized by Fenergic will permanently invalidate the entire warranty of the contract.
Any replacement of parts will not extend or modify the warranty period. The original warranty will continue according to the terms, conditions and the remaining period of time if applicable.
Fenergic reserves the right to cease manufacturing a product or a component at any time. In such a case, the company will at its discretion either replace the defective product by a similar product, or give the customer a credit equivalent to the price paid by the latter for the component or option.
Although our products meet the standards indicated by the certification numbers appearing on them, no additional attestation of conformity given or having been given by the customer to any third party can engage Fenergic in any way.
This warranty is subject to the laws of the province defined in the conditions of the sales contract.
